Our vote bank hungry politicians can't think of anything beyond reservations as a tool to manipulate the minds of common voters. Instead of coming up with agenda to provide employment to the huge unemployed/underemployed youth workforce of the nations, they are simply trying to hide their inability by crying again and again for the same - the futile reservation system. Pity for this so called "Great" nation India that as time goes and governments change, its 'backward' population increases. The 'backward groups' increase in number!
Here are the promises made by LJP as part of its election manifesto:
· The symbol of integrity, Indian Army will have regiments on the basis of caste.
· Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and minorities in Judicial services.
· Reservation for SC and STs in Pvt Sector.
· 15% reservation for minorities, with 10% for Muslims only.
· Removal of 50% ceiling on reservation.
Promises made by INC:
· Reservations for SC, ST, OBC and minorities in PVT Sector.
· Coaching fees for all entrance exams for at least one lakh scheduled caste/scheduled tribe students every year will be paid by the Central Government.
The NCP promises to include the Marathas in the purview of reservation.
The same parties fade away when it comes to reservations to women in the constitutional bodies because it affects their own ‘living’. Why do they give so much insistence on the Muslim community while there are many religions in the minority? Because they form the major vote bank amongst the minorities. Other votes won’t affect as much as the Muslim votes. Does anyone talks about the Hindu minorities in Jammu & Kashmir and other states or the Christian/Buddhist minorities?
Reservation is a game where players want to lose. Where else in the world would you see a game where the captains and the players want so desperately to lose? The SC says : “Nowhere in the world do castes queue up to be branded as backward. Nowhere in the world is there a competition to become backward”.
Reservation must from this instant onwards decrease exponentially orelse we would be quite near to producing an inefficient, ineffective, caste-based, meritless, unskilled, unprofessional system to run the nation. The nation will peril...
